Titanium and Silver Collar

Titanium Collar

The collar was the 'masterpiece' for Alan's degree show at The Central School of Art and Design  (London) where he was one of the first jewellers to work with titanium.

It was inspired by the architectural maxim 'form follows function' creating what is essentially a hinge/catch mechanism and transforming it into a beautiful object.

Vogue Magazine

The collar was featured in the October 1970 edition of Vogue magazine and photographed by Clive Arrowsmith.  The model is Anne Schaufuss.
